Anne de Bretagne, who was born in Nantes in 1477, was twice Queen of France. She married with Charles VIII in Langeais and stayed in Amboise, then in Blois with her new husband Louis XII. Skilled diplomate, she knew how to preserve her duchy's independence until she died.
